AARP - Advocacy
Legislation regarding Medicare had fallen off of Congress’ radar. We took the position that this situation was ridiculous and created banner ads for ridiculous products or services to grab attention and drive people to a microsite, which educated them about the situation and encouraged them to take action.
Our goal was to drive over 400,000 engagements through petition signings, emails/posts, visits to sites, click-throughs, blog postings, phone calls, earned media, forwards to a friend, video views and more. We drove over 950,000 engagements.
AARP.org
Our goal was to introduce the newly redesigned AARP.org website to AARP members and non-members and position it as entirely new and unexpected.
We started from the premise that typical .org websites are pretty dry and data-driven. From there, we designed banner ads that start off starkly designed, then introduced fun, whimsical imagery and graphics that represent some of the new content as a way to illustrate how the new AARP.org is in no way typical.
